Begin by sending your reference photo. If you are based in Los Angeles, you may also choose to schedule a photoshoot for an additional fee. I’ll help guide you toward the strongest possible reference, since the best paintings begin with clear lighting, strong shadows, and a quality image.

Step Two:

 

Finalize the Details
Once your photo is approved, we’ll confirm the portrait size, composition, and overall direction of the piece. This stage ensures everything is settled before painting begins.

Step Three:

 

The Painting Process
Your portrait is then painted by hand in oil, with care and attention to both likeness and atmosphere. You’ll receive progress updates along the way. Most paintings are completed within two to four weeks, depending on size and complexity.

Step Four:

 

Curing and Varnishing
Once the painting is finished, it is set aside to rest during a curing period. Afterward, a final varnish is applied to protect the surface, enrich the color, and give the piece a lasting finish.

Packaging and Shipping

When ready, your painting is carefully packaged using protective wrapping, bubble wrap, and a sturdy box to ensure safe travel and a secure unboxing experience.
